Gregg Wallace’s wife Anna reveals son Sid’s ‘worrying’ health scare as she spots ‘horrible rash’
Gregg Wallace’s wife Anna has revealed their son Sid has “really worried” her within recent days due to a health scare.
The MasterChef presenter’s wife Anna revealed her two year old son Sid has been diagnosed with a rare skin reaction called erythema multiforme.
Anna opened up about the ordeal on her Instagram story as she admitted to her fans: “My little Baby Sid really worried me the past couple of days
“He is thankfully getting better now.”
Mum Anna continued: “He had a horrible rash that appeared on his legs and then spread all over his body really quickly.
“Along with a cold/cough, and a raised temp. Eventually managed to get him to see a dr and it turns out he has erythema multiforme which is rare.”
According to the NHS, erythema multiforme is a “skin reaction that can be triggered by an infection or some medicines. It’s usually mild and goes away in a few weeks”.
But, there is also a rare severe form called erythema multiforme major, which can affect the mouth, genitals and eyes and can be life-threatening.
Anna went on to explain she was treating her son with: “Piriton, paracetamol and lots of fluid and rest (best he can)
“Been monitoring his temp and reaction as this can turn into something serious Stevens-Johnson syndrome!
“He’s a brave little boy,” mum Anna gushed as she added a pink heart emoji.
Gregg also opened up on his son’s health in a video posted on his Instagram story.
He said: “I know I’m always happy and jolly but Anna’s at home with Sid and Sid developed a rash, it’s all OK but it was worrying for a time.
“It doesn’t ever get any easier as a parent, does it? And it doesn’t matter how old they get they’re still your babies and you still worry about them. Little baby Sid he’s OK but nervous for a moment.”
The MasterChef star then praised his wife as he said: “Well done Anna, you’re an amazing mummy and my hero!”
Gregg and wife Anna welcomed their son Sid together in April 2019. The couple are unable to have more children after Anna had to undergo hysterectomy.

Speaking to OK! ahead of the op in 2019, Anna said: “I’ve got to have a complete hysterectomy early next year.
“My endometriosis, which I’ve suffered with all my adult life, returned severely after I had Sid. It’s so bad I also have to have part of my intestine removed, as it has attacked my bowel too. It causes me a lot of pain. It’s a big operation and I’ll be in hospital for about ten days with three months recovery.”
