Indian ministry, GIZ sign MoU on project on cotton value addition

A memorandum of knowing (MoU) was a short while ago signed in New Delhi involving Germany’s Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Indian textiles ministry to put into practice the Indo German Specialized Cooperation Project on ‘Sustainability and Worth Extra in the Cotton Economy’. The goal is to elevate value addition in sustainable cotton generation in India and fortify downstream processing.

It will target on 4 states—Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu—and will perform carefully with them and related businesses, a textiles ministry press release mentioned.

Talking at the signing ceremony, Indian minister of condition for textiles Darshna Vikram Jardosh stated the GIZ undertaking is aimed at expanding quantity of cotton manufacturing at least on 90,000 hectares with participation of 1.5 lakh cotton farmers with generate boost by 10 per cent. About 30 for each cent will be ladies beneficiaries.

An MoU was not long ago signed among Germany’s Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit and the Indian textiles ministry to apply the Indo German Technological Cooperation Challenge on ‘Sustainability and Worth Additional in the Cotton Economy’. The aim is to raise benefit addition in sustainable cotton generation and bolster downstream processing.
