The Hills star Whitney Port reveals she’s lost her baby two weeks after announcing pregnancy
Whitney Port and her husband of six years Tim Rosenman have lost their baby.
The mum of one announced the news that she was expecting her second child earlier this month, but tragically Whitney has since announced that her doctor wasn’t able to detect a heartbeat.
Whitney revealed the devastating news on social media in an Instagram story where she penned: “I’m so sad to say this, and some of you may have watched our latest YouTube episode, but we lost the baby. We found out yesterday. I don’t even really know what to say here.”
“I recorded a full on verbal diary of my thoughts and emotions last night that I’ll put on my podcast next week,” Whitney continued.
“Sending all my love to anyone dealing with this right now. And I don’t want to be insensitive by making light of it, but a glass half full – I don’t feel like complete s*** anymore.”
Whitney and her husband, who share four year old Sonny together, have since posted a YouTube video, further detailing the heartbreaking information.
She explained: “I went today for the eight and four day ultrasound and last week the baby had doubled and he heard the heartbeat and this week there was no heartbeat.
“’So that’s… he said it’s done. That when I had that ultrasound that looked like there was no embryo inside and the yolk sack was thin, that that was maybe a sign of it not being healthy from the beginning. We were obviously really hopeful and I thought it was just going to continue to grow, I don’t know maybe I was naïve.”

Tim then weighed in saying that the both felt that way. He said: “We were just like, ‘It’s going to work out’, I never I wasn’t thinking in the back of my head, ‘Oh be prepared, it still might not workout.’
“It’s such a mind f**k, this whole like, how you’re supposed to act and behave and what you’re supposed to do in this first trimester,” he added.
Upon finding out she was pregnant, Whitney’s doctor warned her at the time that it was likely to be an “unhealthy pregnancy” after having suffered two miscarriages in the past.
Whitney’s most recent miscarriage was in January 2021.
The couple have been extremely candid about their fertility struggles over the years and, while it’s a difficult topic to air to the world, Whitney said she wants “band together and support” other families that have been through the same.
