14-year-old Guilford jewelry designer sells earrings locally to help Ukraine, raises $1,250 so far

GUILFORD — As Eva Solarski thoroughly organized her handcrafted earrings in the screen at Vera Wolf jewelry keep, co-owner Wolf Guibbory talked about supporting this regional student’s project that added benefits Ukraine.

Last month, the 14-year-outdated began promoting just one-of-a-type earrings, in refined tones of blue and yellow, to increase dollars for war-torn Ukraine

“I really feel like our full reason in remaining on this earth is to assist each individual other,” Guibbory said. “So, it is not a thing that we’re executing that is good, it’s a little something that we’re doing that need to be envisioned of all of us.”

Eva Solarski has been producing earrings for herself and mates for about a 12 months. It was this previous March that this eighth grader at E.C. Adams Center College begun crafting the baubles to offer.

“I genuinely delight in making earrings, so I thought of making earrings to sell and then have all the money donated in direction of Ukraine,” she explained.


The younger jewelry designer selected 4 diverse types to concentration on. They are all dangle earrings, some made with seed beads and glass beads and other folks built with semi-important agate stones.

The preliminary $150 expense for this endeavor came from Eva Solarski’s birthday income and gift playing cards. The sterling silver earring wires were being donated by Guibbory. They are $10 and $15, dependent on the design.
