I obtained bored of my have fragrance so I dipped into anyone else’s, but my favourite was this Atkinson’s 24 Aged Bond St. which I gave to my dad many decades ago. It’s a refreshing mix which is not aquatic or citrusy but nevertheless contemporary. The main notes to my nose are cardamom and black tea, with a good dose of ambergris when it heats up a little bit. The ambergris adds a saltiness to the tea, and a bit of zing to what would otherwise be a monotonous aquatic. This is seaside and seashells, but also a bit of musk that assists it past longer, sweetens up the saline a bit, bolsters anything else.

My dad’s overview is that this was fantastic but it dropped its luster immediately after a handful of wears.

Did it go negative?

No, it just stopped remaining superior in a way that by no means takes place to the Polo’s and Boss’s.

Individually, I assume it’s the ambergris. I come across that ambergris fatigues my nose and I can’t use it very considerably, unquestionably not day just after working day, and I would not be surprised if my dad’s nose is the very same.

In any case, I supplied to acquire this just about-empty bottle off his arms and he claimed no way, my daughter gave it to me so I’m putting on just about every last drop.

If you go on Fragrantica there are some hilarious assessments including one particular that idealized the British Raj, and no, this does not scent like the best of colonial times no matter of the tea and cardamom notes. I experienced to study the overview out loud to my dad, and we could not cease laughing, and then he explained, I guess this what all you fragrance writers do. Uh, what?

Anyway, this is unisex with excellent longevity, and it was a pleasure for me to dress in here and there. I wouldn’t even thoughts owning a bottle.
