Government notifies 2-stage selection process for MITRA parksThe government on Thursday notified the scheme to set up 7 Primary Minister’s Mega Built-in Textile Region and Clothing (MITRA) parks and reported that states having ready availability of contiguous and encumbrance- absolutely free land parcel of 1000+ acres will be suitable to utilize. In a notification, the textiles ministry reported that producing units will get an incentive to setup early in the parks but only people firms would be eligible who really do not avail the gains less than the PLI scheme for textiles.

“For incentivizing production models to get setup early in PM MITRA, there is a provision of Rs 300 crore for each park, whereby the incentive can be supplied to manufacturing units up to 3% of the full revenue turnover on to start with appear initially provide basis,” the ministry reported.
