Gymshark confirms Regent Street store opening

The sportswear brand name has signed a 10-year lease for an 18,000 sq ft retailer at 165 Regent Street, which will open next summer season.

It comes after Drapers completely exposed in July that the brand was in sophisticated negotiations with landlords to open up the shop.

Ben Francis, founder and CEO, Gymshark, said: “I’m so enthusiastic that we are opening our first long term IRL area. We realized if we have been heading to do this, it would have to be an legendary site and it does not get significantly additional legendary than Regent Road. We are absolutely nothing without having our neighborhood, so we needed to develop some thing that allows us to thank them and get closer to them. This retail outlet is not going to be like just about anything you have viewed ahead of. It will be an unforgettable knowledge and we cannot wait to welcome them via the doors next summer time.”

Started by Ben Francis in a garage in Birmingham in 2012 when he was just 19, the business now features in in excess of 180 nations, employs above 900 men and women and turned about £400m in its very last economic year. In August 2020, it became just the next British business to obtain “unicorn” status (a valuation of around £1bn) with no past assistance from exterior traders.
