4 Types of Marijuana Licenses in Oklahoma

1. In Oklahoma, the medical marijuana producer license allows a company to grow marijuana legally for medical purposes only. However, the licensed growers have the authority to provide or sell only licensed manufacturers and licensed pharmacies. A grower license certificate must be followed by the title of 63 O.S. 420 et seq. and Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 310:681.

2. In Oklahoma, a medical marijuana processor license allows a company to process marijuana for medical reasons legally. Licensed processors have the right to sell to other licensed processors and licensed dispensaries. However, the licensed processors can turn marijuana into a pure form for a patient license holder for a cost. Licenses for processors will be in the form of a certificate. Title 63 O.S. 420 et seq. and Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) licensed processors must follow 310:681.

3. A medical marijuana dispensary license enables the firm to legally supply medical marijuana and medical marijuana goods, such as mature plants and seedlings. Only patient license holders, caregiver license holders, research license holders, and the parent or legal guardian listed on a minor patient’s license can buy from authorized dispensaries. Dispensaries that engage in illegal selling may face fines or have their license suspended. The OMMA verification system, which will be ready in early September, can be used by dispensary employees to verify licenses. The staff may also verify the purchaser’s identification. 4. An approved grower, producer, or dispensary license will come with a medical marijuana transportation license. A transportation license is a statement on a grower, processor, or dispensary license that allows an individual or organization to carry medical marijuana legally if they have a copy of the license. Licensed transporters can legally carry medical marijuana from a licensed grower, manufacturer, or dispensary to another licensed grower, processor, dispensary, or researcher. Title 63 O.S. 420 et seq. and Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) licensed transporters must perform 310:681.
