The Fantastic Morning Britain star explained he has “put on bit of weight” after managing himself to takeaways and wine amid the pandemic.

Piers, who was recently forced to deny breaking lockdown regulations, told his co-anchor Susanna Reid on Fantastic Morning Britain: “I have place on a bit of weight in lockdown.”

Susanna, forty nine, then joked: “They simply call it the Covid ten.” Piers then extra: “Alan Titchmarsh explained he missing a stone, I don’t know how! How?!”
