Internet product sales at Amazon enhanced by 27% 12 months on 12 months to $113.1bn (£81.09bn) in its 2nd quarter to 30 June, compared with $88.9bn (£63.74bn) in 2020.

This boosted web revenue to a history of $seven.8bn (£5.59bn) compared with $5.2bn [£3.72bn] in the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy claimed: “In excess of the earlier eighteen months, our buyer business has been known as on to produce an unprecedented number of items, together with PPE, food, and other items that helped communities around the earth cope with the challenging situations of the pandemic.
