Black model leaves fashion show over ‘racist’ accessories

An African-American design at a Fashion Institute of Technologies runway display says she was pressured to don weird, “racist” accessories like “monkey ears” and oversized lips.

“I stood there almost all set to crack down telling the workers that I felt very not comfortable with acquiring to don these pieces and that they ended up plainly racist,” Amy Lefevre, 25, told The Put up.

“I was told that it was great to experience not comfortable for only 45 seconds.”

Lefevre, who has been modeling for 4 many years and appeared on far more than two dozen catwalks, explained she is no stranger to industry bigotry but had hardly ever professional just about anything as bad as the Suit manner celebration on Feb. 7.
