Teens charged over ‘senseless’ Christies Beach rampage

The boys started out their alleged rampage just soon after 1am on Tuesday on The Esplanade, where by the entrance window of the Flava Cafe was smashed.

Proprietor Paul Participant arrived at the scene soon after his shop’s alarms had been set off.

“This is just out and out vandalism for no cause at all,” he explained

“Why? It’s just completely senseless. The place are the mom and dad?”

As he arrived, Mr Participant explained he saw a number of other youths operating alongside The Esplanade in the early hrs of the early morning.

“When they had been down in this article, there had been about one more 6 or 8 little ones coming from up the seashore,” he explained.

“One mother arrived down to decide up a daughter, who was screaming and carrying on at 2am, it was just ridiculous in this article.”

The boys also allegedly smashed a glass table exterior the close by Blue C Bistro on Seashore Highway, as perfectly as scores of other organizations alongside the preferred procuring strip.

Devastated operator Kam Ng Shung explained this was 3rd attack on his eatery in just two weeks.
