Speaking to The Sun , the star said: “I love to love and I’d love to be loved. Everyone was having fun in their 20s and 30s. I wasn’t.

“I had a career. I married at 23. Had first child at 27. For me life was about family and career.

“I am doing all the fun s*** now. For me, I guess it is the way life is meant to be.

“That’s the way it has unfolded.”

She added: “A good date is what? One that ends in sex? That is why people are hooking up. Let’s not pretend.”

However, her time on the E4 series got off to a rocky start when she met one of her dates and joked that, at four years her senior, he was “practically dying”.

As she looked at a picture of her date, the mother of four commented: “Oh Jesus, I see an older man… 58? He’s practically dying!”

But, despite her initial reservations, the star was left pleasantly surprised during her date with Steve later in the episode as she admitted she had a “lovely” time.

Steve was also impressed as he spoke about their “inevitable chemistry”, but despite getting on, Ulrika did confess afterwards: “I had a lovely time, we have a laugh together… I don’t know about sexy time!”

It comes after Ulrika left viewers in hysterics on Monday’s opening episode as she suffered an awkward blind date.

During the first episode of the new 2022 series, Ulrika was paired with 50-year-old Tal as they got to know each other on the E4 show.

However, it was soon apparent that Ulrika wasn’t into the “boring” date as she hilariously shouted for more rum after things took an awkward turn.

The star exclaimed: “I would like another rum, please! Can I have another rum and coke, please!”

With Rob Beckett hilariously narrating: “Just bring the bottle… and the bill… and a taxi!”

Celebs Go Dating airs every Monday – Thursday at 9pm on E4.
