Ahmedabad: Suppliers of apparels and garments have requested the Centre as effectively as the GST Council to terminate the proposed GST hike on textiles. It has been proposed that the GST level on apparels and clothes costing previously mentioned Rs 1,000 would be greater from the existing 5% to 12% efficient from upcoming January.

The Gujarat Clothes Manufacturers’ Association (GGMA) created a representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting versus hike in tax rate as the market is even now recovering from the immediately after-effects of the slowdown write-up-pandemic.
