Canada Goose steps up footwear focus with new hire

Meek has been appointed to lead the development of the brand’s world footwear tactic.

He joins from Sperry exactly where he has been world senior vice-president of product since January 2016. Prior to this he was director of sportswear merchandising at Nike for a 12 months, and invested much more than 7 years at Pentland Makes in senior brand roles for Lacoste.

Meek will report to executive vice-president of product Woody Blackford, who joined in November 2019 to lead the company’s product tactic and classification expansions.

“Now, with all of the pillars in put and our tactic crystalised, we’ve under no circumstances been closer to bringing our long-expression vision for footwear to everyday living,” said Dani Reiss, president and CEO at Canada Goose. “Bringing Adam on board is a key portion of creating Canada Goose footwear a reality, which we are dedicated to executing in the ideal way, at the ideal time. Adam’s entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for footwear, and deep expertise in product development and world product administration make him properly suited for this dynamic new role.”
