Piers Morgan shares touching tribute to Kate Garraway ahead of Life Stories

Piers Morgan has issued a touching tribute to his close pal Kate Garraway as she prepared to take over hit ITV show Life Stories.

Former Good Morning Britain host Piers, 56, quit the show back in October, and shortly after it was revealed that Kate, 54, would be take over hosting duties.

Piers fronted the ITV show, which delves into famous stars’ lives, for 12 years and completed 100 shows during his stint, where he interviewed some of today’s biggest stars.

The first episode of Kate Garraway’s Life Stories aired tonight, Wednesday 3 February, with former footballer John Barnes in the hot seat.

Ahead of Kate’s first show, Piers took to Twitter to pay tribute to the star and posted a sweet message wishing her good luck.

The 56 year old wrote: “‘Good luck to ⁦@kategarraway⁩ who hosts her first Life Stories show tonight. As I told Kate today, it does feel a bit weird handing over the reins of a show I presented for so long, but at least it’s to someone I love! Wish her all the very best. Airs on ITV @ 9pm.”
