Cambodia, China sign free trade agreement

China and Cambodia yesterday signed a bilateral no cost trade agreement (FTA) pursuing a few rounds of negotiations this calendar year. It was signed by Cambodian minister of commerce Pan Sorasak and Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian at the Peace Palace, the key minister’s workplace in Cambodia, and was presided around by Primary Minister Hun Sen and Chinese minister of overseas affairs Wang Yi.

The offer guarantees tariff-no cost access for Cambodian commodities to the Southeast Asian nation’s most significant export marketplace. The FTA would remove tariffs on 98 for every cent of Cambodia’s full exports and ninety for every cent of China’s shipments.

“The agreement will permit further financial partnerships by the increased degree of world wide marketplace access for merchandise and investment decision, and will deliver social advantages on the two sides,” Sorasak was quoted as saying by Cambodian media reviews.
