Govt gives town of export excellence tag to Noida for apparel goods, Retail News, ET Retail

“The town of Noida in Uttar Pradesh has been notified as a town of export excellence for apparel goods,” the Directorate Common of Overseas Trade (DGFT) stated in a notification.
Attire Export Marketing Council (AEPC) Chairman A Sakthivel stated the improvement would help established up modern-day amenities for widespread use by exporters in the area.
He stated widespread assistance providers are important for the apparel industry as they help in lessening the price of know-how by giving widespread expert services like specialised knitting, dyeing and embroidery, which have to have high conclusion devices.
“We have also requested for which includes apparel clusters like Faridabad, Delhi and Erode in the list of cities of export excellence. Faridabad and Delhi have turnovers of Rs five,880 crore and Rs five,894 crore respectively, way more than the prerequisite of Rs 750 crore turnover for a town to get the tag,” Sakthivel stated.
There are 38 other cities of export excellence in the place which includes Tirupur (hosiery), Madurai (handlooms), Jodhpur (handicraft), Dewas (prescribed drugs) and Bhilwara (textiles).
